4. Salt Flats

The Salt Flats are a must-see. They are absolutely flat and consist of pure white salt as far as you can see. It seems out of this world which is why you have to go to experience it.

6. City Creek

Right across the street from Temple Square, City Creek features over 100 stores, delicious restaurants and beautiful architecture. There is a stream running through the middle and a beautiful fountain giving you that outdoor feel but a big retractable roof that is closed during bad weather making City Creek great any time of year!

7. Vivint Smart Home Arena

8. Shoot the Tube

Shooting the tube is a unique experience that is an absolute blast. This ¼ mile long homemade underground thrill ride runs under I-215 on the east belt route. It was set up to help with the drainage from Parley’s creek but has since become a fun waterslide. In order to make it work, you have to block off the entrance to the tube with the old street signs laying around. Once the water flow has slowed through the tube, you get ready, release the sign and it shoots you down!

9. Hogle Zoo

Hogle Zoo is Utah’s premier zoo and with over 1,100 animals, you know you are going to have fun. You will be able to see giraffes, zebras, lions, elephants, white rhinos, seals, polar bears and so much more! It is such a fun zoo to see and explore and during the winter, they even put up a great Christmas light display!

10. Jack’s Peak

Jack’s Peak is a 2.4 mile loop that is difficult but worth it. There is beautiful landscape as you hike and a great view from the top. It is the best to hike between April-October and is even dog friendly if they are on a leash!
